About the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Regeneration & Levelling Up

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Regeneration & Levelling Up aims to promote regeneration as a solution to the problem of below-average levels of economic activity and lack of infrastructure across the country. Our focus is on enabling every town and city to benefit from the economic and social rewards of regeneration, development, and urban renewal, with a particular emphasis on the role of local authorities in driving forward projects.

We want to promote regeneration as a solution to the problem of below average levels of economic activity and the lack of infrastructure to support growth and the wider Levelling Up agenda across the country. Our focus is on the role of combined and other local authorities in driving forward regeneration projects that deliver new jobs and homes, improved transport links, and better public spaces. We believe that delivering on the Levelling Up agenda in the right way has the potential to create new opportunities for business investment, job creation and for communities and to bring long-awaited improvements to areas that have been left behind.

The APPG is a platform for MPs to share ideas, best practice, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that regeneration is prioritised in the Levelling Up agenda.

The group aims to encourage greater cooperation between local authorities and the private sector to drive forward inward investment and job-creating projects. To meet the demand for skilled workers, the APPG will work with training and education providers to ensure that workers have the necessary skills for the job, including project management, construction, and engineering skills, as well as specific trade skills such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. We believe that, by working together, we can create a brighter future for communities across the UK through regeneration and Levelling Up.

We are supported in our work by our Secretariat, College Green Group. If you wish to know more about how you and your business can be involved in the work of the Group, please contact:
